The Italian Foreign Minister, Angelino Alfano has reiterated his support for Libya’s Presidential Council in a visit to the capital Tripoli on Thursday.
“We have discussed the future of Libya and for sure Libya and the Presidential Council has all our support,” Angelino Alfano told reporters,” he said.
Alfano noted that terrorism was defeated and also the illegal migration, especially migrants entering Libya from the south and exiting from the north towards Europe.
“These were important results for Libya, Europe and the whole world. We would like to continue forward in this road and support achieving Libya’s stability,” he added.
Alfano, who was last in Tripoli in May, met with several presidential council officials, according to local media.
